About the RoleThe Business Controller is an operations-focused financial support primarily to the company's property management and project department. The role contributes to financial management, high-quality decision-making materials, and increased financial understanding in the operations. As Business Controller, you support the Property Managers who have operational net responsibility for their properties and project managers who are responsible for their projects. You do this by assisting with analyses, challenging and quality-assuring financial management. The Business Controller reports to the CFO and also has a clear mandate to work with the CFO and management to develop the company's reporting, analysis, and financial management. Key Responsibilities: Assist and support budget work by preparing materials, analyzing results, forecasts, and explaining significant deviations. Participate in developing project budgets and investment calculations as well as final cost forecasts. Analyze deviations, risks, and changes and quality-assure project financial reporting. Contribute to post-completion reviews and financial follow-up of projects. Compile and report liquidity requirements for operating net. Together with the Property Management organization and Project Department, identify and follow up on profit-improvement measures. Work with property management and leadership to develop methods for financial follow-up, analysis, and forecasting. Through ongoing dialogue and joint reviews, contribute to knowledge sharing, cost awareness, and increased understanding of property economics. Provide financial and business perspectives in decisions and priorities. Together with leadership, develop financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, analysis models, and decision-making materials for operations, management, and the board. Drive development toward more automated follow-up, analysis, and forward-looking reporting. Create and develop operations-tailored reports in Vitec Operations Analysis based on the needs of property management, project operations, and leadership. Serve as system administrator for Vitec Operations Analysis. Who Are You?We are looking for someone who is organized, business-minded, and analytical, with a strong ability to understand the operations behind the numbers and translate data into relevant decision-making materials. You are communicative, pedagogical, and relationship-building, and you enjoy working close to operations. With an unpretentious and proactive approach, you take initiative, drive improvements, and feel confident challenging and asking relevant questions. You are engaged and results-oriented and motivated by working in a values-driven organization where long-term thinking and quality are in focus. Knowledge and Skills Civil economy degree or equivalent academic background. Experience as an operations-focused Business Controller or equivalent qualified financial work. Relevant education in property economics, financial management, or BI is a merit. Experience in the real estate industry and Vitec property systems is a merit.
