We're looking for someone who wants to combine strong business understanding with hands-on work in data and Power BI. Here you'll have a central role in developing Balder's analytics capabilities and creating solutions that make data more accessible, reliable, and useful throughout the organization.
About the role
As a Business Analyst – Data & Analytics, you translate the organization's analytics needs into clear KPIs, data requirements, and actionable decision support. You're responsible for developing and maintaining our Power BI reports and ensuring that data, definitions, and calculation logic are correct and consistent.
Together with the business and our technical data teams, you drive development from needs and requirements to validated data and finished analytics solutions. You also contribute to developing new ways of using data, for example through self-service analytics and the ability to chat with data.
In this role, you will also:
• Define business rules, calculation logic, dimensions, and shared concepts together with the business.
• Translate analytics needs into technical requirements for data sources, data models, transformations, and data flows.
• Drive and prioritize development needs for the data platform together with data engineers, architects, and other technical specialists.
• Practically analyze, troubleshoot, and validate data and logic throughout the entire flow, from source systems to reports.
• Develop dashboards and semantic models in Power BI.
We're looking for someone with
• Several years of experience developing reports and analytics solutions based on business needs.
• Deep practical expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, semantic models, and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience analyzing, transforming, troubleshooting, and quality-assuring data.
• Good understanding of data warehouses, dimensional modeling, and data flows.
• A background as a BI developer, Data Engineer, or similar technical role is a major plus. Experience with Snowflake, data warehouse development, or data platforms, as well as generative AI, semantic layers, and solutions that enable asking questions and chatting with data are also highly valued.
