About us
The Finance Department is undergoing organizational change where new positions are being created and the previous finance unit is being divided into two units. The department will have four units in total: the accounting unit, budget and planning unit, procurement unit, and payroll unit.
We are located centrally in Upplands Väsby and will move to new office spaces at the end of autumn. There are good opportunities to commute with proximity to both commuter trains and parking. We believe it's important to have balance between leisure and work and offer flexible work arrangements.
About the position
You will have a central role in the municipality's work with financial and target management as well as continuing to develop the management system, planning, and follow-up processes, and the municipality's premises supply work.
As budget and planning manager, you will coordinate the budget process and ongoing monitoring of the municipality group. This also involves continuous environmental monitoring, developing and maintaining the management system, the municipality's resource allocation and financial management models including investment management. Your unit also develops and communicates guidelines and instructions for the budget process.
Furthermore, you will be a natural part of the municipal board's supervisory and follow-up work. In close collaboration and dialogue with the departments, you will also develop financial analysis. Together with other colleagues in the department, you will be part of our development work.
The position involves personnel responsibility for a group of 14 employees, where 12 work in various controller roles and 2 in the municipality's premises supply.

Are you the person we're looking for?
We're looking for someone who has:
- A degree from university/college in economics or equivalent relevant education
- Previous experience in a management role or other larger organization
- At least several years of experience as a controller in public sector operations
- Experience with workplace safety responsibility
- Very good skills in Microsoft Excel and an interest in systems
- Very good command of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience driving development work
- Experience with union cooperation
- Experience in a management role within the public sector

To thrive in this position, it's also important that you have an aptitude for maintaining good dialogue and creating engagement with employees and managers.
