What We Offer Do you want to be part of developing the next generation of brass musicians? We are looking for a dedicated brass teacher with a focus on the lower brass – trombone, tuba, and related instruments. With us, you'll work both broadly and creatively: teaching individual lessons, group lessons, and participating in ensemble and orchestra activities. You'll become an important part of developing our brass program together with a colleague specializing in trumpet and other upper brass instruments. Together, you'll strengthen the whole and create inspiring contexts for students. Your responsibilities will include: Participating in concerts, projects, and productions Contributing to development work at Kulturskolan Collaborating with colleagues across different art forms Handling planning and administration related to instruction We offer independent and varied work where you have great opportunity to influence both teaching and the development of our activities. You should be an inspiring and resourceful teacher with a clear child-centered perspective and an interest in students' cultural world. Personal suitability is given great weight. This is a permanent position with 40% employment. Appointment made by agreement. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is a confident and inspiring educator with strong commitment to children's and young people's music-making. You have: Music education training from a music conservatory or equivalent Strong ability to lead ensembles or orchestras A driver's license and access to your own vehicle Experience working in projects and stage productions Experience with different genres, such as classical, jazz, pop, and folk music Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as you need to communicate freely with students and teachers. About Us The Department of Children and Education is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, special education schools, and cultural school. Kulturskolan is a municipal program for children and young people who want to deepen their knowledge of aesthetic subjects. At Kulturskolan, 23 teachers work, and instruction takes place at Kulturskolan and at several of the municipality's schools after school hours. Around 700 students participate in instruction with us each week, with 350 students participating in about 20 groups and ensembles. Each year we organize various types of events and concerts. We teach about 20 instruments, show & musical, art, and comic illustration. Hässleholm Municipality is an important hub in Sweden.
