About the Workplace
Rescue Service West is a municipal federation tasked with preventing accidents and protecting life and property in Varberg and Falkenberg municipalities. Our mission is to manage municipal rescue services and provide preventive protection against accidents in accordance with the Act on Protection Against Accidents (LSO).
We are a rescue service that wants to lead the way! Professionalism and innovative thinking are our principles. We also strive to be a rescue service for everyone and recognize that diversity and differences enrich us.
Our five rescue teams are staffed around the clock and work both preventively and supportively to help avoid serious incidents as much as possible. But when incidents do occur, you and your team must be able to safely interrupt and control the situation as quickly as possible and help those affected.
Our goal is to reduce the number of accidents. We do this through education, information, and supervision. If an accident does occur, our goal is to reduce response times by deploying additional smaller units distributed across our service area.

DUTIES
You will contribute to our work providing protection against accidents in society. You will work with incident preparation through training, exercises, and competency development, as well as with preventive tasks and safety-promoting measures for the community and its citizens. This includes, for example, information, education, and outreach activities, both before and after an incident occurs. In addition, you will have operational duty in one of our rescue teams.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is trained as a firefighter through the Protection Against Accidents program. Additional merits include completing one of the Civil Contingencies Agency's (formerly MSB) management courses or their training in supervision and other accident prevention activities, or equivalent training. You must meet medical requirements for smoke and chemical diving. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. A driver's license is required, minimum category C.
Full-time permanent position, shift work according to agreement.
Temporary assignment until August 30, 2027.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
