The Rescue Service in Kiruna currently handles approximately 400 emergency calls per year and we need to be prepared for rescue operations ranging from mine to mountain. We look forward to hearing from you! 4 position(s). WORK DUTIES Our goal is to minimize the number of accidents and their consequences. To prevent accidents, preventive work is the focus. We plan and organize our activities so that rescue operations can be initiated as quickly as possible and carried out efficiently, regardless of municipal boundaries. We help and support both individuals, organizations and other authorities to act before, during and after the individual event. Therefore, your work tasks will consist of both preventive work and operational emergency response services. Other tasks such as maintenance of vehicles, equipment and service, usually referred to as station work, are also included in your duties. QUALIFICATIONS We are now seeking firefighters for our full-time station. We are looking for you, man or woman, who are interested in working as a firefighter. It is desirable that you have worked in municipal rescue services or completed Rescue Operations, GRIB training course 2 with completed smoke diving training or completed at least two terms of SMO training or similar training with a passing grade. You must have basic university entrance eligibility. You must have at least a Category B driver's license at the time of application and within 6 months at employment (probationary employment) hold a Category C driver's license. You must be in full health and have good physical work capacity, according to the Work Environment Authority's requirements for smoke diving, and have completed a swimming proficiency test according to Guldbojen. These qualities will be checked and tested in the recruitment process. It is a merit if you: • have completed Accident Prevention (SMO) or Firefighter (15 weeks) training. • hold a BC driver's license. • have had longer service in municipal rescue services. • have other professional experience that could be valuable for the operation. The role requires you to be outgoing and able to communicate in a trustworthy manner as the work involves extensive contact with both individuals, organizations and authorities in preventive work such as inspections, training and advice. You need to be proficient with computers and be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Before employment begins, aptitude tests will be conducted as well as a medical examination regarding smoke and chemical diving according to the Work Environment Authority's regulations. Your application must be accompanied by: Certificate of completed basic university entrance eligibility training. Certificate of any completed rescue training. Certificate of any completed rolling mat test. Certificate of completed swimming proficiency test according to Guldbojen. Certificate of driver's license class. Employment type: Permanent employment.
