Organization and About the Job Västra Sörmlands Räddningstjänst was established in 1999 by the municipalities of Katrineholm and Vingåker. The organization operates a full-time station in Katrineholm and five part-time stations located in Katrineholm, Vingåker, Björkvik, Julita, and Högsjö. The organization has approximately 80 employees, of which 35 are full-time and approximately 45 are part-time. We are expanding our shift teams with an additional firefighter starting next year. These positions will have varying start dates, but by January/February next year, all shift teams will be fully staffed. Job Responsibilities: We are looking for someone who wants to work as a firefighter in emergency response services. You will be part of an emergency response team tasked with handling incidents that require rescue operations. Your work will include training, equipment maintenance, and other duties within the organization. The role also includes preventive tasks such as public information, education, and similar activities. Requirements: - SMO training with approved smoke diving certification according to AFS 2023:13 (or older equivalent with approved smoke diving certification according to AFS 2023:13). - Training and experience that the employer considers equivalent to the above. - Driver's license category B (C license will be obtained before the trial period ends). - Passing score on treadmill test (4.5 km/h) and medical examination. - Valid swimming certificate - gold level. Merits: - Experience from municipal rescue services. - Driver's license category C. - Multilingual. Employment Tests: Work-related obstacle course with a treadmill test (4.5 km/h) followed by work-related activities. Interview with recruitment team.
