Property Caretaker at Liseberg - a job where technology meets people
Blomsterfonden – for a safer and richer life for the elderly Blomsterfonden is a nonprofit organization working to ensure that older people have a safe home, professional care with meaningful daily activities. We operate five senior residences with active social community, our own home care services, and four elder care facilities where secure care is the focus. Our goal is to give older people a richer life – filled with community, care, and joy of living. Our work is characterized by our ethical values: compassion, participation, clarity, and honesty. The organization was founded in 1921 by Alma Hedin. Under her leadership, a special spirit emerged – the Blomsterfonden spirit – which continues to shape our activities today. We carry forward Alma's mission by cherishing what is at the heart of every human life: recognizing the individual's capacity, will, and emotional life. Blomsterfonden also actively works to support family members. We organize and participate in various forums to spread knowledge about elderly people's needs and life situations. Property Caretaker at Liseberg – a job where technology meets people Are you someone who likes solving problems, taking responsibility, and at the same time having lots of contact with people? Then this could be the job for you. As a property caretaker at Blomsterfonden, you'll have a varied day where no two days are quite alike. One moment you're solving a practical problem in an apartment, the next you're planning a task with a contractor or meeting a tenant who needs your help. You're the one who sees what needs to be done – and makes sure it gets done. Your role As a property caretaker at Liseberg in Älvsjö, you have an important responsibility for ensuring our properties function well, are well-maintained, and feel safe for our tenants. You have frequent daily contact with our tenants and in many ways are Blomsterfonden's face in the area. That's why your approach to people is just as important as your technical skills. In the role, you will, among other things: · receive, assess, and follow up on maintenance requests · perform minor repairs and maintenance · order and follow up on work that needs to be done by contractors · conduct ongoing inspections of properties, common areas, and technical installations · work with systematic fire safety measures and other regulatory requirements · plan and prioritize ongoing maintenance · collaborate with colleagues and external suppliers · contribute to keeping our properties well-maintained, safe, and pleasant · assist tenants with practical handling of broadband and TV services The most important thing is not that you can solve everything yourself. What matters is that you take responsibility for making sure the right thing gets done – whether that means solving the problem yourself or ensuring the right person or contractor does it. You'll become an important person for our tenants At Liseberg, we have around 350 rental apartments for seniors. Here you'll find common spaces, green areas, a restaurant, nearby services, and various activities. The property caretaker is an important part of the service and security available in the area. This means your work is about more than just properties. It's also about people. Who are you? We believe you're someone who enjoys having responsibility and who likes to take charge of things. You need to be comfortable working independently, able to prioritize when several things happen at once, and have the ability to see both details and the bigger picture. You're also someone who enjoys people. You understand that professional behavior, patience, and clear communication are just as important as being technically skilled. We believe you: · are self-driven and responsible · are solution-oriented and take initiative · have organization and order around you · have a naturally service-minded approach · are confident in contact with tenants, colleagues, and contractors · can plan and prioritize your work · enjoy a varied workday. Your experience and qualifications We're looking for someone with: · several years of experience in property maintenance, property technology, or similar work · good technical understanding and practical experience with property-related work · education in construction, property technology, or equivalent knowledge from work experience · good Swedish, spoken and written · good computer skills and experience working in digital systems · a B-class driver's license. Knowledge or experience in areas such as electrical work, plumbing, access systems/building management systems, or working with contractors is a plus. We place great weight on your personal qualities. What you get from us At Blomsterfonden, you'll have a job where you can use both your practical and social skills. You'll get: · a varied role with significant personal responsibility · opportunity to influence and develop work methods · close collaboration with property managers and colleagues · opportunity for professional development · collective bargaining agreement and occupational pension · annual wellness allowance · a workplace where your work matters to people's daily lives. We want our employees to feel they can develop together with us. Does this sound like you? If you enjoy solving problems, taking responsibility, and having work where you meet people every day, we'd love to meet you. Apply for the position and become part of Blomsterfonden. We look forward to hearing from you! Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
