Bookbinder/Post-Press Operator for Digital Printing

We are looking for a versatile team member for our production team! With us, you will work centrally in Stockholm with modern machinery. You will work in a team with many years of experience in the industry. ABOUT US Universitetsservice US-AB was founded in 1999 with a focus on Digital Printing. We are a modern company with 14 employees where we produce a wide range of printed materials directly on-site in Stockholm. Our printed materials are distributed to both private individuals and local businesses as well as to colleges and global corporations. WORK TASKS You will work with various post-press operations in our production, with the main task being perfect binding. Your daily work will primarily consist of perfect binding, cutting, laminating, packing, wire-o binding, machine maintenance, as well as receiving deliveries and maintaining our storage space. The production currently consists of 6 employees where you are often the final step in the work process. This means periodically high pace to meet deadlines. You should be able to or willing to learn all existing work tasks in the print shop such as folding, creasing, hole drilling, picking, etc. We work with post-press machinery from leading suppliers such as Horizon, Polar and others. QUALIFICATIONS • Good experience with graphic post-press processing or strong willingness to learn. • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing • Good written knowledge of English We consider it a merit if you also have: • Education and/or experience in graphic production • Experience with various work tasks in a print shop • Knowledge of machinery and graphic technology REQUIREMENTS You must be able to collaborate with colleagues, customers, and suppliers in a pleasant and efficient manner. The work tasks also require high stress tolerance and to thrive in the role you need to be thorough and quality-conscious. The position requires that you are independent and used to working independently with a very high sense of responsibility. Since the position requires regular heavy lifting, it is good if you are in good physical condition and not afraid to take on physical demands. We will place great emphasis on previous experience and personal qualities. OTHER INFORMATION Employment form: Permanent employment with a six-month probation period.
