Are you passionate about care, structure, and making a real difference in people's lives? At the end of 2026, Humana is opening a new LSS residential facility, Kårsta, specialized for individuals with complex support needs and challenging behaviors. We're looking for you – a residential support worker/support assistant with the ability to create a safe and professional environment – and who wants to be part of building the operation from the ground up! At Humana, we work according to the vision "Everyone has the right to a good life." Take the opportunity to leave your mark and develop in a company where commitment, joy, and responsibility are our guiding principles. About Us Kårsta LSS is a group home according to LSS §9:9 for four adults in service user category 1 who have intellectual disabilities and autism combined with neuropsychiatric diagnoses such as ADHD, mental illnesses, and complex and extensive behavioral challenges. The assignment involves a very high and continuous level of care and support where safety, structure, and professional resilience are essential components of the work. The target group has extensive support needs related to behavioral difficulties and requires a safe, structured, and predictable daily life. The facility is expected to be completed in mid-November 2026 and is located in the calm and safe area of Kårsta, approximately 6 miles north of Örebro. About the Position We're seeking committed and experienced residential support workers/support assistants for our new specialized LSS group home. This assignment requires an extremely high and continuous level of care and support. You'll be part of a team that delivers the specialized staffing resources required to guarantee safety and security for both residents and staff. What Does the Role Involve? • Professional Management: Strong ability to prevent, manage, and redirect situations in a safe manner. You actively contribute to ensuring the safety of individuals. • Structure and Approach: You work based on a consistent and individually adapted approach with clear structure and boundaries, while showing care and resilience. • Active Support: You provide support in activities of daily living, planning, occupation, and recreational activities. • Health Competence: You support individuals in managing their somatic illnesses and other medications, and handle anxiety/worry and attention-seeking behaviors without reinforcing them. Employment Terms We are now seeking several employees for permanent positions with a six-month probationary period. The positions are 80-100% and working hours are night shift with work every other weekend. We apply individual salary settings and other compensation according to collective agreement. The position starts at the end of November 2026. Who Are You? We're looking for someone with high resilience and the ability to work methodically to build increased trust and stable relationships over time. As a residential support worker/support assistant, you need to have good patience, be receptive and flexible. You take shared responsibility for a positive work environment through respectful interaction. You have strong ability to work in a team characterized by close staff presence and continuity in staffing. Great importance is placed on personal suitability and your ability to build trust. To apply for the position, you must have: • At least upper secondary education in care and support, social work, behavioral science, pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent • Experience working with the LSS target group, neuropsychiatric disabilities, and complex/acting-out behaviors • Experience with NPF, psychiatry, mental health issues, and acting-out behaviors • Experience in Low Arousal Approach (LAB) and clarifying pedagogy • Experience and knowledge in Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) • Documentation skills and knowledge of Person-Centered Planning (IBIC) • Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing as documentation is a major part of the work • B-class driving license It is meriting if you have: • Ability to use support signs and/or sign language What We Offer We offer you a unique and important role where you directly contribute to stability and positive development for one of society's most vulnerable groups.
