Vega Härskogen is seeking two residential support workers for full-time work, day, evening, and weekend shifts at the facility located at Fritslavägen 52 in Kinna. Start date is rolling throughout fall 2026. Are you an engaged and responsible person who wants to make a difference in people's lives? For our facility at Fritslavägen 52 in Kinna, we are now seeking two residential support workers who want to help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where our clients are given the conditions for recovery, increased independence, and sustainable long-term change. Vega operates supported housing services for individuals with substance dependence, often in combination with psychiatric and/or neuropsychiatric comorbidities. We work long-term, structured, and individually tailored with the person at the center. Our goal is to create a safe and stable environment where each client receives support based on their individual needs, resources, and goals. About the Role As a residential support worker with us, you have a central and client-focused role in daily operations. Together with coordinators and other team members, you work to create structure, continuity, and security during the client's placement and support the individual toward increased independence and recovery. Carry out individually planned support interventions based on the client's action plan and current daily schedule. Document the implementation and provide feedback on results, changed needs, and interventions that could not be carried out to the coordinator or responsible supervisor. The work also involves being attentive to changes in the client's current condition and situation, identifying needs and risks, and being able to handle challenging or unforeseen situations in a calm, professional, and structured manner. You work independently within the scope of your assignment, joint planning, and operational procedures. The work requires close collaboration with coordinators, colleagues, and management, as well as the ability to recognize when you need support or guidance. Your responsibilities include: Provide person-centered and individually adapted support based on the individual client's needs, goals, resources, and current planning. Support clients in various aspects of daily life, such as ADL, social interaction, daily structure, activities, recovery, and promoting increased independence. Carry out planned client interventions and activities and follow up on the implementation of agreed-upon planning. Support and, if necessary, accompany clients to medical appointments, contact with authorities, shopping, activities, and other planned interventions. Observe and note changes in clients' health status, functional level, and behavior and respond to relevant changes. Contribute to a safe and stable environment through professional conduct and low-affect interactions, as well as through compliance with operational procedures and safety practices. Work preventively by identifying risk factors, changes, and early signs of emotional escalation or instability. Handle acute, challenging, or unexpected situations with support from the facility's methods and procedures in consultation with available supervisory functions. Document completed activities, observations, events, and interventions in a factual and structured manner in accordance with the facility's guidelines. Review current documentation and relevant information before your shift and ensure clear handover to the following shift. Carry out practical and operational tasks according to shift planning and operational procedures, such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and shopping. The work occurs both with clients as part of their individual support and independently to maintain a well-functioning residential environment. Notice and report deviations, risks, incidents, and other circumstances that need to be followed up. About You We are looking for someone with: Post-secondary education in social work, social pedagogy, care and support, healthcare, or other education that the employer deems relevant, Alternatively, other educational background combined with relevant work experience, Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Meritorious Experience: Work with individuals with psychiatric conditions, substance dependence issues, and/or complex comorbidities, Experience working in supported housing, HVB, specialist psychiatry, addiction care, or other psychosocial work, Low-affect interactions and work in situations requiring conflict management and professional conduct, Social documentation and work based on action plans or similar individual planning. Relevant experience is important, but the role requires more than formal qualifications. You need to be able to see what needs to be done, take initiative, and complete tasks while maintaining the bigger picture and collaboration with colleagues.
