The position is placed within the Social Services Department, which is one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Department is responsible for public administration, commissioning of services, and internal operations within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (disability services), and social psychiatry. Do you have experience meeting people with harmful substance use or addiction issues? Then you could be the person we're looking for as a residential support worker at Torparegatan Support Housing. As a residential support worker, you work to strengthen and motivate individuals to develop their abilities and create structure and meaning in their everyday lives. You provide support in practical tasks, help maintain good routines, and serve as a link to social services, healthcare, psychiatry, and probation services. Interventions are planned and followed up together with the individual based on individual needs and goals, documented in an implementation plan. We work based on a low-arousal approach characterized by calmness, respect, and positive expectations for the individual. Documentation and follow-up of implementation plans are part of the work. Your Workplace Torparegatan Support Housing is aimed at adults with harmful substance use or addiction who need help in their daily lives. The housing consists of 13 apartments in the Lambohov area, where each person is responsible for their own home and receives individually tailored support. The support housing is responsible only for social services, not for healthcare or medication. Your primary employment is at Torparegatan Support Housing. If needed, you may need to assist at Torparegatan Residential Care for individuals with mental health disabilities. The goal is for the services to eventually have completely separate staff teams. As a new employee, you primarily belong to the support housing, but work at the psychiatric housing may occur during the transition period. When the separation is complete, you will only work at the support housing. The position is full-time with working hours during the day, evening, and every other weekend. About You We are looking for someone who is trained as a nursing assistant, care worker, or has other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working with individuals with harmful substance use or addiction issues. It is advantageous if you have experience working in social psychiatry and with comorbidity. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of: ESL (A Self-Determined Life) Motivational Interviewing (MI) Low-arousal approach Educational approach You have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, which is important as language is your primary tool in contact with clients and in documentation. You also have good computer skills. A B driving license is a requirement for the position. As a person, you are confident, empathetic, and collaboration-oriented. You treat others with respect and can put yourself in others' perspectives without taking on their feelings. You are self-driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and move work forward in a structured and responsible manner.
