About SHIS Bostäder SHIS Bostäder is a foundation and Stockholm's municipal housing and social resource. Employment and Job Description The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Start date by agreement. Your primary workplace will be in Farsta, and you will report to the section manager for Section 4. Your Role as a Residential Support Worker Your task is to respond to orders from social services, district administrations, or social welfare by developing an implementation plan and working together with the tenant toward the objectives set by the ordering authority and the individual. Based on our housing and social mission, you need to work in a supportive and motivating manner with the tenant in the areas of life covered by the order. The MI method is used at SHIS. Job Responsibilities Your work may include daily support in the home, assistance with managing protected personal information, support in developing structure and routines, help with government contacts, and breaking social isolation. Sometimes the support is practical, depending on the individual's current needs. Examples of support activities include: supporting tenants in daily life and assisting with contacts related to work, school, etc. assisting the tenant with financial management and planning taking the initiative to coordinate healthcare contacts and government contacts as needed. The role also includes ongoing administrative work such as documentation, implementation plans, contract management, administration related to moves, obtaining documents and certificates, and monitoring that tenants pay their rent on time. You will work in the Alfa eCare Welfare management system and document according to the Social Services Act. Qualifications For this role, you need among other things good knowledge of society, experience in social work, and experience in coordinating contacts between various government agencies and authorities (tax agency, social services, police, etc.). We are looking for someone who has: completed upper secondary education in social studies, care, or healthcare further education as a behavioral scientist, social pedagogue, or equivalent experience working with this target group and in social services experience in pedagogical work knowledge of documentation requirements and record-keeping in accordance with the Social Services Act experience working in or collaborating with social services or the public sector documented knowledge of MI (motivational interviewing) computer skills and systems experience (Microsoft Office suite) strong ability to communicate well in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have: documented knowledge of ESL (living independently) experience applying the Social Services Act knowledge of or experience with low-arousal approaches or equivalent methods language skills beyond Swedish and English understanding of LGBTQI+ issues. Personal Skills and Social Qualities A significant part of the work involves collaborating with our ordering agencies and district administrations, which requires you to be communicative and organized in your administrative work. It is important that you are confident and can adapt your approach based on the situation; some flexibility is required. You must also be willing to continuously learn and develop the service. To thrive and succeed in your role, you are independent, know when to take action, and take responsibility, while also enjoying collaboration with others.
