We are now seeking a residential support worker to join our team at Mariedalsgatans Group Home. We offer training and a rewarding position where you can make a real difference! This is a part-time position at 75%. About Mariedalsgatans Group Home: The facility is located in the Slavsta district in Uppsala. Six people with disabilities who receive support according to LSS (the Swedish Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) live here. There are good bus connections, and the group home is within walking distance to the shopping centers in Boländerna and Årsta. About the Role: As a residential support worker, you work based on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life using a pedagogical approach. Together with other staff members, you work toward making each day meaningful and fulfilling. You provide support and guidance in personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the work is to encourage and motivate residents to develop their abilities and to create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled for evenings and weekends. You will have a group manager nearby who shares their time working in the facility. This could also be a future career opportunity for you. Your Experience and Knowledge: You have upper secondary education in healthcare and social services or equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with this target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow.
