Aspen is a group home located in a villa area in Vadstena. We have a large garden where all apartments have their own terrace, plus two shared outdoor spaces on the front and back. Aspen features spacious common areas and six roomy apartments for our residents. The staff consists of eight full-time employees. Aspen is close to the swimming hall, town center, and near Lake Vättern where you can take a swim or enjoy a nice walk along the water. 1 position(s). Job Responsibilities The role of residential support worker at group homes is of a pedagogical, methodical, motivating, and supportive nature. You will base your work on each user's needs, interests, abilities, and individual implementation plans and personal goals. In consultation with the individual user, you will plan and design support aimed at increasing independence, influence, and participation. Support and services shall be provided on an individual basis and adapted to each person, so they can live as others do with quality of life and good living conditions. Working with support and care services for people with disabilities is broad, varied, inspiring, and challenging work where services must be delivered with respect for the user's needs, wishes, integrity, participation, self-determination, and diversity. In your role as support worker at the group home, you will contribute your pedagogical skills to daily work and be an active part of the unit's development and change work together with residents, the staff team, and management. You will also engage in close collaboration and cooperation with the user's network and other partners. Qualifications You should have secondary education in healthcare and care programs or work experience in this field or equivalent work. It is desirable if you have knowledge of communication support, other pedagogical and technical aids. You need to be able to manage and document in our journal system. We are looking for someone who is engaged, resourceful, and results-oriented. You foster engagement and participation, collaborate well with others, and build good relationships. With an attentive and communicative working style, you contribute to a positive collaborative climate and handle challenges constructively.
