At Ekhagagatans psychiatric residence, you'll have the opportunity to work in a meaningful and developmentally enriching environment where we create the conditions for our clients to achieve greater independence and quality of life. We are now seeking two committed residential support workers! As a residential support worker at Ekhagagatans psychiatric residence, you will work to create a safe and meaningful daily life for people with mental health variations. Together with each individual, you will plan and structure daily routines and develop personalized interventions that strengthen independence and participation. You will work with methods such as motivational interviewing (MI) and a pedagogical approach to support clients in their daily activities—from cleaning and personal care to social participation and activities. The work also involves collaboration with other public agencies and organizations, such as the psychiatric clinic, to provide comprehensive support to individuals. At Ekhagagatans psychiatric residence, we use low-stimulus care approaches. You need to be prepared to handle care tasks and challenging situations, as well as calmer moments. The work includes documentation and continuous follow-up of interventions through implementation plans. You will also be responsible for assisting with medication administration in collaboration with the residence's nurse. Your Workplace Ekhagagatans psychiatric residence is located in Ekholmen and consists of two houses with six apartments in each house. The residence serves individuals with decisions under both SoL and LSS, and we actively work to create an environment that promotes both safety and development. The residence is home to people of varying ages, from young adults to middle-aged, with a mix of mental and physical health conditions of varying severity. The residence maintains close collaboration with psychiatry and other actors to provide the best possible support to residents. You will work in a team of ten colleagues where at least two people are always on site, and we actively work to create a supportive and learning work environment. Working hours are scheduled for day shifts, evening shifts, and weekends. About You We are seeking someone trained as a nursing assistant or health care worker, preferably with a psychiatric specialization, or equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent. You also need experience working with low-stimulus care approaches and within psychiatry to be well-prepared. It is advantageous if you have experience with substance abuse issues, care work, and self-harming behavior. Since we work with the methods ESL (An Independent Life), MI (Motivational Interviewing), IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus), and a pedagogical approach, it is advantageous if you have knowledge of these. Proficiency in Swedish—both spoken and written—is required, as we use the language as a working tool in client contact and in documentation and record-keeping. It is also a requirement to be able to cycle, as we use bicycles for transportation in our work. We are looking for someone with strong collaboration skills who can resolve conflicts constructively. You are self-directed and take responsibility for your tasks while being responsive to others' needs and feedback. Your personal maturity helps you read different situations, and your flexibility makes you open to change, which contributes to continuous improvements in the work.
