About Lanternan
Rånäs Lanternan is a 24-hour residential facility in Rånäs, Norrtälje. Our goal is for each individual to achieve improved quality of life through personalized support tailored to their own needs, strengths, and circumstances.
Target Group
We serve adults aged 21 and above with:
- Risky alcohol or drug use/addiction
- Mental health issues such as psychotic disorders, affective conditions, or PD-NOS
- Anxiety-related problems
We operate on assignment according to SoL, ÖPT, LPT (permission), LVM §27, and also have placements with special services.
Our Approach
We work with recovery-focused support emphasizing daily routines, nutrition, everyday exercise, and clear procedures. Support is provided both individually and in groups.

Environment and Housing
The facility is located in a nature-friendly and peaceful environment with nearby walking trails and swimming areas. Residents have their own rooms, and some apartments allow pets.
Staff and Expertise
We have 24-hour staffing with overnight coverage, a nurse on-site on weekdays, and access to a CBT therapist and doctor. Staff have relevant training in social care, and ongoing professional development is offered through Nytida's training organization, Lära.
About the Role
As a residential support worker, you will respond to residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical perspective. Together with your colleagues, you work to make each day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide residents with personal care, meal preparation, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the role is encouraging and motivating residents to develop their abilities and creating opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning according to implementation plans. Working hours include daytime, evening, weekends, and on-call overnight shifts. A driver's license is required, as we assist our clients with transportation to appointments such as doctor's visits, and our facility is located in a rural area in Rånäs.
You will have a group leader or group manager close by who works part-time in the operation. This could also be a future career opportunity for you.
Your Experience and Knowledge
You have upper secondary education in health and care or equivalent qualification. You have strong Swedish language skills in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is advantageous if you have experience working with this target group. Beyond that, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will support and help you grow.
You have a positive outlook, strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team, supporting your colleagues, and always prioritize what is best for our clients.
