Residential Support Worker for Social Psychiatry Do you want to make a real difference in people's everyday lives and help strengthen individuals' ability to live independently and meaningfully? We are now seeking engaged residential support workers who want to work with people in their recovery process. About the Work As a residential support worker, you will support individuals with mental health issues and neuropsychiatric disabilities in their recovery process. You will work both in individuals' own homes and/or within our residential facilities. The work is based on a recovery-oriented approach where the focus is on the individual's resources, strengths, and possibilities. You will motivate and support people in achieving their goals, developing strategies for daily life, and increasing their independence. Support can involve creating structure in everyday life, maintaining social contacts, participating in community life, and managing contact with authorities and healthcare. Sometimes support needs to be compensatory if required to meet basic needs. The work involves considerable independence while you are an important part of an engaged team where collaboration, experience sharing, and development are key. We are Looking for You If You Have relevant education in social work, behavioral science with additional competence in psychiatry. Have a genuine interest in supporting people in change and recovery processes. Believe in individuals' ability to develop and utilize their own resources and motivations. Work respectfully, solution-focused, and with a strong user perspective. Have good collaboration skills while being able to plan and carry out your work independently. Can build trusting relationships and meet people with attentiveness, empathy, and professionalism. Are a team player who sees the team as an asset and sees opportunities in situations that arise. Meritorious It is meritorious if you have: Experience working in social psychiatry, residential support, or similar activities. Experience supporting individuals with mental health issues, comorbidity, or neuropsychiatric disabilities. Knowledge of recovery-oriented working methods, motivational interviewing (MI), Case Management (CM), and low-affective approaches. Experience with documentation and work according to the Social Services Act.
