We are now recruiting a residential educator for a parental leave coverage position at Psykiatriboende Mellangården. Here you'll work closely with young adults and help create conditions for increased independence, participation, and a functioning daily life. Mellangården is part of Bräcke diakoni's activities in Bräcke Park in Göteborg, where several operations together create a larger context for both employees and residents.
Your role in the team
As a residential educator, you are responsible for the residents' residential rehabilitation. Through contact person responsibilities and individual implementation plans, you follow and drive the process from move-in to completion, with a focus on participation and increased independence. You work closely with the residents and provide support to strengthen their own resources and ability to manage their daily lives. You collaborate closely with your colleagues and contribute to shared routines, task distribution, and effective handovers.
The job includes, among other things:
Contact and cooperation with social services, healthcare, authorities, and relatives
Social documentation and other administrative tasks
Motivational conversations and low-arousal interaction
Working according to methods such as trauma-informed care (TMO), MI, and other evidence-based approaches
Participating in the organization's quality and development work

Mellangården is a psychiatric residential facility with 16 short-term places for young adults aged 18-35 with mental health and neuropsychiatric disabilities. The operation is drug-free and staffed around the clock. Here we work with individually adapted residential rehabilitation, with guidance and support from colleagues close at hand.

Qualifications
Education as a social pedagogue, support educator, or other relevant education with a focus on psychiatry, at least at upper secondary level
Experience in social work and working with people with mental health and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities
Good experience with social documentation
Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
Experience in residential operations is meritorious
