The main purpose of working within LSS (Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities) is to strengthen the individual's ability to live an independent, self-reliant life and to actively participate in society. You work at a service residence but perform most of it in the users' homes. We work to build relationships and create conditions for an improved life situation and reduced exclusion. We work preventively, using low-arousal approaches and based on the individual's needs and abilities. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a residential assistant, you make a difference in people's lives. Your role is to support our users in achieving increased independence both at home and in social settings. You motivate and support them in their daily lives, ensure that their basic care needs are met, and help with household chores and practical tasks. The work also includes working according to implementation plans, collaborating with colleagues at your own residence and other residences within the unit, as well as maintaining contact with family members, guardians and administrators. The position involves work according to a rotating schedule with day, evening and weekend shifts as well as sleeping on-call duties. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a 2-year post-secondary education (YH) with a pedagogical focus such as social pedagogue or treatment pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. Other education that the employer deems relevant for the position (determined based on what skills need to be recruited) may include: · nursing assistant diploma with a focus on psychiatry · treatment assistant training, YH, 1-2 years · CBT pedagogue, YH, 2 years · Wellness pedagogue, YH, 2 years To succeed in this work, you need to have experience working with people with mental health variations. The work requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language both spoken and written. It is meritious if you have a B-class driving license. It is also meritious if you have training in: LAB (low-arousal interaction) MI (Motivational Interviewing) AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) As a person, you are calm, attentive and accommodating in your approach. You have interest, willingness and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. Furthermore, you are flexible and adapt easily to changed circumstances. You can quickly change your perspective and approach. Last but not least, you are good at structuring, planning and prioritizing your work. To thrive with us, you should have a genuine interest in working with people, be responsive to others' needs, have good service skills and ability to collaborate.
