Now we are growing and need a maintenance engineer who wants to be part of building our future work methods and structures from the ground up. This position is a specialist role where you report to the department manager and work closely with both colleagues and external contractors.

You will be responsible for developing long-term strategies and finding the right tools and work methods so that we can move from firefighting to working more proactively with maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and take responsibility for our maintenance strategies, technical standards, and maintenance plans for our facilities.
• Establish work methods, data, and tools so we can move from being reactive to working proactively and condition-based.
• Plan and coordinate mechanical interventions and projects, and maintain close dialogue and collaboration with both group managers, operations technicians, and external partners.
• Monitor budget and costs, analyze key performance indicators, and lead the work of finding the root cause when operational disruptions occur.
• Be the technical expert and set requirements in investigations, projects, and when procuring framework agreements.
• Ensure that all maintenance is planned and carried out with a focus on work environment and safety first.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who enjoys development and finds it exciting to build new work methods. You are proactive, methodical, and have a natural ability to get others on board with change.
• Engineering degree or vocational training (YH) in maintenance, mechanical engineering, process, facility management, or another relevant field. If you have experience creating order and structure in maintenance work, this can compensate for a lack of a formal degree.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within water and wastewater, process, or facility management industries.
• Good understanding of how to build maintenance structures, follow up on key performance indicators, and use maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Very strong ability to communicate clearly and experience coordinating resources and collaborating with different departments.
• Fluent Swedish and good knowledge of English in both speech and writing.
It is a great plus if you also have knowledge of change management and LOU, or if you have training in construction law or construction work environment (BAS-U/BAS-P).
