Now we are looking for a special education support specialist for the disability services division. HERE'S WHAT YOUR WORK WILL INVOLVE As a special education support specialist in Flen Municipality, you will have overall responsibility for pedagogical work, quality development, and social documentation. Your most important task is to be a role model and share knowledge about pedagogical methods with your colleagues. You will develop, monitor, and improve work methods to ensure that the operation maintains high quality and that the needs of service users are met. You will be responsible for 3–4 units and collaborate with other support specialists to strengthen pedagogical work throughout the division. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that all service users have the opportunity for development, participation, and self-determination in accordance with applicable laws and guidelines. You will support staff through coaching and training in clarification pedagogy and other methods that promote service users' independence and well-being. You will lead quality meetings and drive development efforts in work groups. To ensure good cooperation between different actors in the operation, you will be responsible for collaboration and communication. You will receive new assignments from coordinators or management, inform staff, and assist with introduction and implementation of new work methods. You will also report the need for methodological support and competency development to coordinators or management. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and ensuring quality of social documentation, preparing implementation plans, and following up that work is being performed well. THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT YOU: Have a specialized post-secondary education as a special education support specialist with at least 200 YH credits. Have good knowledge of using computers and digital tools. Have experience with clarification pedagogy and low-arousal interaction. Have strong communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Have a Category B driver's license. WE HIGHLY VALUE: Post-secondary education in the disability services field. Experience working with people with disabilities or long-term mental health conditions. Very good knowledge and many years of experience working with clarification pedagogy, such as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). As a special education support specialist, you are service-oriented and collaborate well with others, but you can also work independently when needed.
