Now the opportunity is open for you to become one of us and be part of our development of authority work with children, young people, and their families. The Safety and Support Sector is divided into four operational areas, one of which is individual and family care (IFO). We have an organization based on first and second-line social services. The Children and Youth Unit consists of sixteen investigative social workers, three first-line social workers, a social administrator, and a unit manager. We develop our work based on Signs of Safety, Distant Parent, and MPV in close cooperation with our nearby units within IFO and to provide early and sufficient interventions based on support needs. On the unit, we are now starting a simplified version of the 3-phase model for predictability in case flow, but also with the aim of being able to meet children and parents at the first meeting with the social services when there is a clear need for investigation for support and intervention. As an investigative social worker on the Children and Youth Unit, you will be part of an engaged group with a good team spirit, where we enjoy working together and care for one another. Our supervisors contribute with security and stability based on their long experience of working with children and young people and within Kungälv Municipality. They provide good support in daily work and have a high degree of availability. We work closely with our intake unit, second-line family therapists and placement support, but also with the first line, which has a clear promotion and prevention mandate. We apply remote work 1–2 days a week with the opportunity to largely structure your own work week. You will receive a customized introduction with support from a mentor. You will receive methodological support, both individually and in groups, as well as external process supervision. As an employee, you receive a wellness allowance. Competence development is encouraged through, for example, the Professional Journey and ongoing training in Intimate Partner Violence, HRV, Distant Parent, and MPV. Job Duties As a social worker on the unit, you investigate children and young people between 0–18 years old and their families' needs for support and protection services, and follow up on granted interventions according to the Social Services Act, LVU, and LBSB. The position may include travel with overnight stays and the ability to enter situations where there is a need for immediate measures. The role as an investigative social worker also includes cooperating with other authorities and actors, both within and outside the organization. Qualifications We are looking for you who hold a degree in social work, as this is a requirement for the position involving authority work regarding children and young people. We want you to have a clear child perspective in your work and to see it as self-evident that children should be involved based on their circumstances, age, and maturity. We are looking for you who can see the opportunities in complex social work, who find it easy to collaborate, are flexible, curious, and care about respectful treatment. You also care about contributing to maintaining a good work environment in a workplace where collegial support and communication are important. You are organized and have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You need to be able to both collaborate and work independently. We see it as self-evident that you take responsibility and consider legal certainty to be of high importance to ensure quality in your work.
