We are now seeking a qualified crafts teacher for grades 3-9 at Stenhammarskolan. THIS IS WHAT YOUR WORK WILL INVOLVE Stenhammarskolan – an F–9 school where the heart beats for students, with knowledge and development in focus – has approximately 650 students and is centrally located in Flen. Here, we see differences as a strength and diversity as an asset for both students and staff. As a crafts teacher at Stenhammarskolan, you have an independent and creative role where you are responsible for teaching wood/metal and textile crafts to students in grades 3–9. You plan, implement, and evaluate lessons that spark students' curiosity and desire to create. Your teaching is based on the curriculum (Lgr22) and is adapted to students' different conditions and interests. In the crafts room, you are responsible for the practical environment – from materials and tools to safety and work procedures. You meet student groups of different ages and with varying prior knowledge, which requires structure, flexibility, and a solution-focused work approach. You organize instruction so that it functions both pedagogically and practically, and you ensure that all students have the opportunity to develop in their creative work. As a crafts teacher, you have great freedom to shape your instruction and create a creative and safe learning environment. You inspire students to try new techniques, materials, and forms of expression, and help them develop both craftsmanship skills and problem-solving abilities. Through your engagement and pedagogical skills, you contribute to making crafts a living and meaningful subject for students. As a teacher at Stenhammarskolan, you are also part of a professional team where collaboration and collegial learning are in focus. You actively contribute to the school's systematic quality work, participate in meetings and professional development, and work together with your colleagues to develop instruction. THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT YOU: Have teacher certification with authorization in crafts for grades 3-9. Can plan, implement, and evaluate instruction according to Lgr22 with clear goals and assessment. Can use digital tools in instruction. Have good knowledge of curriculum documents, grades, and assessment.
