THIS IS WHAT YOUR TASKS WILL BE As a counselor with us, your day-to-day work is at one or more of Flen municipality's primary schools. Your mission is to drive psychosocial work and contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for our students. Main tasks Conduct psychosocial work at individual, group, and organizational levels. Offer support, motivational, and crisis counseling to students as well as consultation to guardians and school staff. Activate participation in the school's local student health team (EHT) together with the principal and other professionals. Collaborate with external parties such as Social Services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Care, and the Region when needed. Work preventatively and promote health against, for example, bullying and absenteeism. Your role has a well-functioning structure: School Leadership: The principal at the school or schools where you work leads and allocates your daily work on site. Organizational Affiliation: You are employed within the central Child and Student Health and report to the unit manager for Child and Student Health. THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT YOU: Are confident in your professional role, have good conduct, and an ability to build good relationships with both young people and adults. You are flexible as work takes place in different settings, but you also have good organizational skills. Requirements for the position: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other higher education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with children and young people. WE VALUE THIS HIGHLY Experience working as a school counselor or within another politically governed organization. Knowledge of the Education Act and legislation concerning children and young people.
