We are looking for you to join us in the role of Foster Care Coordinator. THIS IS WHAT YOUR WORK WILL INVOLVE As a Foster Care Coordinator in our placement team, you play a key role in offering vulnerable children and young people safe and stable environments. You will become part of an engaged and pleasant team consisting of a team leader, three foster care coordinators, and four child monitors who are responsible for following up on placed children. Your main focus is on all aspects of foster care, which may also include other forms of commissioned services. You actively work on seeking and assessing new foster families based on the assessment model "A Lasting Relationship," and make careful matching assessments to find the right home for each individual child. Your duties also include supervising, supporting, and training our foster families. The work involves extensive conversations and contact with people, as well as administration in the form of documentation and decisions. You work in close collaboration with the child's case manager. In the unit, we work based on Signs of Safety as a common approach. We are a flexible work team that helps each other based on operational needs. This means your work tasks could change to include handling children and young people, either as an investigator or child monitor. Work hours are mainly scheduled during weekdays and daytime, though some evening work may occur. THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT YOU: Are educated as a social worker, or have an education that the employer considers equivalent. Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Have a valid driver's license (Category B). WE HIGHLY VALUE: Experience working as a foster care coordinator or other work within social services for children and young people. Training in the assessment model "A Lasting Relationship." Training in or experience with Signs of Safety. Training in "A Home to Grow In." YOUR PERSONAL QUALITIES We are looking for someone who is communicative and has a natural ability to build safe, trusting relationships – whether you are meeting prospective foster families, supervising experienced homes, or collaborating with colleagues or other actors. You are organized and responsible in your approach, which allows you to independently advance your investigations with good order in documentation and decisions. Since the workday can change quickly, you are flexible and easily adapt to operational needs. You have excellent collaboration skills, actively contribute to the team, and value the mutual support within the group. Most importantly, you are engaged and empathetic with a strong commitment to children and young people's right to a safe upbringing.
