What is a functional disability? A functional disability is a reduced physical, mental, or intellectual ability. It can be congenital or develop later in life and can be visible or invisible. Each person is unique – with their own abilities, needs, and strengths – and that's what makes this work both meaningful and developmental. Our Operations We are recruiting for several disability support operations: - Residential facilities with special services (BmSS) – 24-hour operations. - Day activities – rehabilitative and work-oriented activities during daytime. - Residential support – support in users' home environments, mainly daytime but also evenings and weekends. - Short-term residential care for adults – time-limited support and care for adult users. Placement is made based on operational needs and your previous experience. Job Duties The work varies depending on the operation but can include: - Pedagogical support in daily life - Personal care - Cooking, laundry, and other daily tasks - Activities and social support - Documentation and medication management according to delegation Challenging and self-injurious behaviors may occur in some of our operations. Temporary Position: As a temporary worker, you work as needed and set your own availability. Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and night shifts depending on the operation. Qualifications You must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with regulations on work environment for minors AFS 2023:2 6 chapter, 5, 6, and 8§ regarding solo work. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the Swedish language requirements, you may be offered to take a language test through test provider Educateit. If you are trained as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or have other training that the employer deems equivalent, or if you have ongoing education in care work, pedagogy, or social work, this is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have experience working in care work, pedagogy, or social work. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their own tasks and the group's tasks. You think about the people we serve and their wellbeing. You do your best to complete all tasks correctly and follow up on the results. You are friendly and helpful toward others, even in stressful situations. You show respect for everyone you meet at work. You are welcoming and positive. You work to ensure that the student/customer/user gets what they need. You remain calm and confident in pressured and difficult situations.
