Become a contact person!
A contact person serves as a fellow human, friend, and a good role model where you, together with the individual – who can be a child, young person, or adult – create opportunities for social activities, community, and meaningful leisure time.
The goal of the assignment is to break social isolation, and the assignment is shaped based on the individual's needs, wishes, and interests. It can also involve providing advice and support in everyday life, strengthening social contacts, stimulating active leisure time, and facilitating the opportunity to participate in leisure activities.
It involves approximately 2-4 meetings per month (1 occasion per week is common). When and where you meet and what you do together is something you arrange together.
Examples of activities can include:
• Taking walks together.
• Having coffee or going to a café.
• Participating in leisure and cultural activities.
• Visiting events or excursion destinations.
• Providing support in social settings.
• Being a conversation partner and fellow human.
As a contact person, you are not employed but carry out a compensated assignment.
You will receive introduction, support, and guidance during the assignment.
Please note that this is not a position but an assignment that you carry out in your free time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Who can become a contact person?
No special education is required to become a contact person.
However, you must have a genuine interest and commitment to other people and a desire to build a relationship that lasts over a longer period.
You are secure, responsible, and attentive, with the ability to create relationships of trust. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have the ability to dedicate time and commitment to a meaningful assignment where your presence and support can be of great importance.
Personal suitability and commitment are decisive.
To be considered as a contact person, you must be at least 18 years old and must provide a police certificate of good conduct (no criminal record or suspicions). We also conduct ID verification before you can be approved as a contact person.
What compensation applies?
Activities take place in your free time, and as a contact person, you receive a monthly fee.
You also receive a reimbursement for expenses – compensation that covers costs related to the assignment.
Compensation is provided according to the recommendations of Sweden's Municipalities and Regions (SKR).
What happens after the application is submitted and approved?
After you submit your application, we will review it and get back to you within 2-3 weeks. If you move forward, you will first be contacted by a recruiter and then meet with the unit manager who is responsible for the contact person assignments.
Once you are approved as a contact person, it may sometimes take a while before we find a suitable young person or adult, as we want to make as good a match as possible.
When your assignment begins, we will go through the young person's or adult's goals and implementation plan together so that you know what you should be working toward.
The implementation plan is followed up every year or when major changes occur, and you will submit activity reports digitally each month.
NOTE! - Feedback will be provided starting in week 34.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: Commencement date is arranged according to agreement with the manager.
