The program starts on February 15, 2027 – apply today and take the first step toward a rewarding career! What does the role of electronics assembler/field technician involve? After completing your foundational training, you'll step into the role of electronics assembler at Saab, where learning continues with close support from mentors and colleagues. You'll become part of a production team working in the final stages of manufacturing advanced radar systems, with a focus on final assembly, testing, and product delivery to customers. In this role, you'll work with both mechanical and electronic components and gain a comprehensive understanding of how different parts of production work together, from design and integration to verification and final delivery. This role is the start of a long-term development journey. You'll begin as an electronics assembler in production and build your skills to eventually advance to field technician. In that position, you'll work on-site with customers on installation, service, and maintenance of Saab systems while having the opportunity to travel around the world. Your main responsibilities: Mechanical assembly of systems and subsystems Cable routing and installation Component testing and basic electrical measurements Installation and final assembly prior to customer delivery Repairs, upgrades, and maintenance of products, both internally and at customer sites Work takes place during daytime hours, Monday through Friday. The first training week is held in central Gothenburg and training week 2 takes place in Linköping. Training week 3 is held in Gothenburg again. There are no travel or accommodation costs. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may, in certain cases, require specific citizenship. Our recruitment process consists of the following mandatory steps: Application: Submit your application and answer a number of screening questions. Capacity Test: A digital test that measures your logical reasoning ability (approximately 30 minutes). Self-Declaration: Part of the security vetting where you complete a form that will be sent via email from the OneFlow platform. Facility Visit week 45 – Monday or Tuesday: Get an insight into your future workplace. Work Trial week 45 – Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday: Show your practical skills at Skill. Interview & References: Digital interview and reference check with Skill as well as in-person interview with your future managers at Saab. Security Vetting and Vision Examination: In-person meeting with Skill and vision examination at occupational health services. All steps are mandatory to be considered for the apprenticeship program, so it's important to confirm that you can participate on the relevant dates. Information will be provided continuously via email throughout the different stages of recruitment and your status in the process – so keep an eye on your mailbox! The apprenticeship program is a consulting assignment where you'll be employed by Skill starting February 15, 2027. After a period as a consultant, the goal is to become directly employed by Saab.
