Your responsibilities As an assistant social secretary, you will be part of case management within children and youth services. You will participate in social work by assisting social secretaries in meetings with clients and cooperation partners, documenting, and performing other administrative tasks. You will not have your own delegation and will not make independent decisions, but you are an important part of the work process and participate in discussions about cases and assessments. You will be involved in cooperation both internally and externally. As part of the position, you will complete a commissioned training program to complement your academic education with the knowledge required to work as a social secretary. The goal is that after completing the training, you can be validated for the social secretary role and eventually work independently with delegation and your own decisions. Your introduction will be tailored to your needs and previous experience, and you will receive close support from team leaders, managers, and specialists in your daily work. You will be offered external supervision once a month. Your qualifications We are looking for someone with a strong interest in social work and in the needs of children and young people. You have an academic degree in behavioral science or other similar relevant education, such as public health or criminology. It is meritorious if you have taken courses in social work or have experience from the field. If you also have knowledge of social law or have completed basic training in BBIC, we view this positively. Since documentation is an important part of the work, you need to have a good ability to express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing. You also need to have good collaboration skills while being able to work independently and in a structured manner. You have the ability to be clear in your communication and can adapt it according to situation and recipient. We are located in the Social Services building right at the station area where all authority-exercising units within the Individual and Family Administration are situated. Before you can be employed, you need to show a valid excerpt from the police criminal record register. A probationary employment may be applied. During the interview, you will need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personbevis (certificate of identity) together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, the EEA, or Switzerland, you must provide proof that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
