About the Workplace FMLOG carries out operational and strategic transports on behalf of higher command and the combat forces within the Swedish Armed Forces. Together, we ensure that the Swedish Armed Forces' operational capability is maintained both nationally and internationally. The Intelligence and Security Section is part of FMLOG Headquarters and serves as direct support to operations. The section's task is to lead and coordinate intelligence and security services within FMLOG. Position Description As Assistant Security Chief, you will support the Security Chief. You will serve as expert support to the entire section, sharing your expertise through training initiatives, internal directives, and procedures. You will establish and maintain an extensive network of contacts with military and civilian experts in your field. Your work also includes collaborating with other headquarters staff in the operational support that the section provides. You need strong organizational skills and excellent ability to handle Swedish Armed Forces processes. Development within the position can occur through further education in both breadth and depth within security services in line with the section's tasks. This may include external courses or participation in development projects, etc. The position involves travel outside the duty station. Qualifications Upper secondary school diploma Multiple years of experience in security protection work Expert knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Physical security, Information security, Personnel security, IT security, Protection of classified information Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing Good knowledge of the Office package Driving license category B Meritorious Experience with military security services and/or intelligence services Experience with Swedish Armed Forces processes related to, for example, infrastructure, IT, materiel supply, or similar Experience with staff work Experience with project management Experience in structuring and processing information Training in signal security, system operator training on systems, or other advanced signal security training Completed all or part of the Security Officer Course (SOK) Knowledge of Swedish Armed Forces IT systems within intelligence and security functions, for example IS U/S Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, you need to have structural and social skills and be able to work independently and with initiative. You can quickly grasp new complex work tasks and have well-developed collaboration skills. Furthermore, you have high integrity, strong security awareness, possess high personal maturity, and are confident in yourself. At times, operations can be intensive, which means you should be able to tolerate high workload occasionally. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
