Job Responsibilities You are part of a management group with the principal and a colleague assistant principal who together have overall responsibility for the school. As an assistant principal, you have operational responsibility including budgets, student matters, and personnel management. You lead results and quality work in dialogue with your colleagues. As a pedagogical leader, you help drive the school's values and work toward set goals. While you support teachers, you also challenge them regarding school development. Development work is an important part of your duties, and you are expected to actively drive development in areas such as pedagogy, results-enhancing measures, and systematic quality work. You systematically monitor the achievement of operational goals and become an important part of strengthening the school's development work. The position also includes responsibility for other related administrative tasks. Qualifications You are well familiar with the governing documents, laws, and agreements that regulate our operations and have experience with systematic quality work. You have a teaching degree and personal experience with teaching work in primary school with an F-9 perspective on student learning. Experience working in grades 4-9 or adapted school is a merit. In your previous school positions, you have held some form of leadership role, such as assistant principal, process leader, or team leader with good results for at least three years. You also have experience driving and maintaining development work within the school's operational areas with good results for at least three years. You lead and inspire your colleagues through active and visible leadership that creates strong engagement and participation among your team. You have a good ability to gain an overview of work, think strategically and long-term. Structure and organization come naturally to you. You are a decisive, structured, driven, and reliable person. You have excellent communication skills and can build trust in dialogue with colleagues, students, guardians, and other stakeholders such as labor organizations. Through professional, attentive, and clear communication, you handle both everyday contacts and more challenging conversations in a way that strengthens collaboration between home and school and contributes to good relationships.
