Your role The assistant principal is a key player in ensuring that the school's development moves in the direction decided by the principal and school leadership. The assistant principal ensures that students are allocated the resources needed and that instruction develops based on scientific evidence and proven experience and in line with the school's vision. At the same time, the role includes close collaboration with other school leaders and contributing to the school's long-term development. This means being part of the school's leadership team and supporting the principal in decision-making and school management. As assistant principal for grades F-6 and after-school activities at Höglandsskolan, you are responsible for, among other things: - Driving pedagogical development together with school leadership and lead teachers. - Developing and strengthening both after-school activities and school as well as their collaboration. - Leading and developing staff through a coaching approach. - Contributing to the development of the school's practical-aesthetic focus. Your primary area of responsibility is the F-6 operations and after-school activities, which you lead in collaboration with the school's leadership. You have full personnel responsibility for approximately 20 people and budget responsibility. You will also be part of the school's student welfare team and safety team and lead the student council for F-6. Administrative tasks included in the position include, for example, scheduling, native language management, and record keeping. Your competence We're looking for someone who has: - Teacher education from higher education and valid teacher certification. - Experience as an assistant principal in primary education. - Completed leadership or management group training. - Excellent knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have completed principal training and if you have experience: - as an assistant principal for after-school activities. - with students with special needs. - with coaching leadership. - with City of Stockholm administrative systems, such as Schema, BER, e-dok.
