The operations are supported by a common staff and a support and development team that contributes to quality and systematic quality work. Preschool Area 1 consists of 13 preschools located in Hagsätra and Rågsved, with large green yards that create good conditions for play, learning and exploration. As an assistant principal you will be part of an engaged management team where collaboration, work joy and close support for each other are natural parts of everyday life. Together we work with the child in focus as the starting point for all decisions and all development work. We work closely with parenting advisors from the family support unit, who are attached to each preschool, to support parents and families at an early stage. Your Role As an assistant principal your role is to lead and develop your preschools with the best interests of the child in focus. On behalf of the principal you are responsible for operations, personnel and budget and implement school laws, curriculum and common goals in daily work. You are part of the preschool area's management team together with the principal, assistant principals and administrative manager, where you with commitment, trust and collaboration drive the area's continued development. Through close and present leadership you are an important force in strengthening the quality of instruction. The position also offers the opportunity to take on an overarching assignment within the preschool area with a focus on strengthening the quality of instruction. Therefore we would like to see that you have advanced pedagogical expertise and strong commitment to children's right to quality education, where the child rights perspective permeates your leadership and development work. Your assignment as assistant principal includes: operationally lead and manage your preschools to develop and ensure quality, efficiency and goal achievement, be responsible for budget management at your preschools, participate in operational planning and follow-up for the preschool area, create participation in the preschools' work with goals, results and follow-up so that the preschools, preschool area and department achieve the common goals with high quality, drive, organize and create conditions for development work within the preschool area, represent the preschool area in internal and external collaboration and create conditions for employees to contribute in collaboration. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for you who have: a pedagogical university degree, current experience of working as an assistant principal or principal in preschool, good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Local Government Act, the School Act and the preschool's governing documents, very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have: experience from municipal operations, preferably Stockholm City, advanced pedagogical knowledge and are trained as a pedagogista or atelierista, experience with systematic quality work, started or completed the principal program.
