Description Vilhelmina Municipality is seeking an assistant rector for the preschools. This is a permanent position with start date October 1, 2026 or by agreement. We see our staff as our most valuable resource. Vilhelmina Municipality has 6 municipal preschools and one pedagogical daycare facility. Two of the preschools are located in the town center and three preschools are in our villages. In Saxnäs there is a preschool and in Dikanäs there is a pedagogical daycare facility. You can read more about our preschools on the municipality's website www.vilhelmina.se/barn-och-utbildning/forskola/ Duties As an assistant rector at preschool, you will conduct pedagogical leadership together with the rector based on national and municipal goals. Your duties also include responsibility for work environment and personnel matters. You will be part of a management team within the preschool led by the rector and in the education operations management group with rectors led by the school principal. Qualifications We are looking for someone with rector education and/or pedagogical degree as well as experience working in preschool. You are a confident and empathetic leader who utilizes and develops employees' competence, participation and co-responsibility. You have the ability to create good relationships, take responsibility and keep learning in focus. You are well versed in the preschool's mission and are accustomed to expressing yourself in speech and writing. A B driving license is required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Although it may be some distance from larger cities, once you arrive, most things are within reach. In five minutes you can in the town centers Vilhelmina, Saxnäs and Dikanäs, where we have municipal operations, pick up children from preschool, go to work, exercise after work or take your skis/running shoes on the lit trails, and eat at one of the town's cafes and restaurants. In the mountains there are facilities that are open during tourist seasons and year-round, as well as proximity to some of the larger ski slopes at Kittelfjäll and Klimpfjäll.
