We are now seeking an assistant principal who wants to contribute to both student development and the school's continued improvement efforts! We are looking for an experienced, development-oriented school leader who wants to help lead our school's continued growth. As assistant principal, you will have a broad and qualified role with responsibility for pedagogical leadership, staff management, student welfare, and systematic quality improvement work. You will work closely with the principal and be a central part of the school's leadership team. The role involves leading and developing the school's various operations, managing staff in both teaching and student welfare, and driving the school's quality and development work from analysis through implementation and follow-up. We seek someone with the ability to create structure, build strong relationships, and translate organizational goals into concrete development initiatives. You are confident in your role as a leader, have experience with workplace environment and personnel issues, and can lead change and improvement efforts in an inclusive and results-focused manner. Key Responsibilities The role includes, among other things: Lead and develop pedagogical work with a focus on increased goal achievement and improved student results. Hold personnel responsibility for teaching staff and student welfare team members. Manage the school's systematic quality improvement work, including analysis, monitoring, and reporting. Lead and develop structures for collaborative learning and professional development. Coordinate work with lead teachers and other development functions. Prepare decision-making materials regarding organization, resource allocation, staffing distribution, and scheduling. Contribute to developing a well-functioning student welfare system and sustainable support for student learning and wellbeing. Be a driving force in the school's long-term development and change efforts. Qualifications We seek someone who has: Teacher training or equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent Documented leadership experience and knowledge of workplace environment and personnel matters It is advantageous if you have: Teacher certification Principal training Knowledge of systematic quality improvement work in schools To succeed in this role, we see that you: Are analytical, communicative, and action-oriented. Additional Information Färila and Los educational area is a grades K–9 operation with approximately 400 students. Our schools are located in Färila and Los, 45 kilometers to the west. We are engaged in active development work where we work purposefully to strengthen student academic results, create safety and a good learning environment, and develop the quality of instruction.
