Fågelsångens School (F-9) Fågelsångens School is an F-9 school with approximately 440 students and 15 students in Adapted Primary School. The school features bright, well-adapted classrooms and other facilities. At Fågelsångens School, a competent and dedicated team of educators works collaboratively with a solution-focused approach. We have a strong culture of responsibility. The school is undergoing development work where collaboration is the foundation of everything we do. Our focus areas, led by teaching teams, are safety, study environment, gender equality work, and goal achievement. Our development areas for the next two academic years, to be led by lead teachers, are mathematics and language-developing work methods (reading and writing). You have experience leading in a school environment, are accustomed to making decisions, and have the ability to create structure even in complex situations. At the same time, you are relationship-focused and believe in the power of close collaboration with students, staff, and guardians. Your Assignment As assistant principal, you are an important part of the school's leadership and work closely with the principal. Together with the principal and the other assistant principal, you lead the school's pedagogical and organizational development with student learning, safety, and study environment as your starting point. Your responsibilities include: - Leading and developing pedagogical work together with school staff - Having personnel and operational responsibility for the after-school program, lower grades, kitchen, and facilities maintenance - Monitoring instruction, results, and student goal achievement in the lower grades and after-school program - Contributing actively to the school's systematic quality improvement work - Working strategically and operationally with safety, study environment, and attendance - Handling complex student and operational matters with clarity and good judgment - Creating positive relationships and trustworthy collaboration with students, guardians, and staff - Together with the principal, translating school goals into concrete action - Working with scheduling Who Are We Looking For? We want you to: - Have previous experience as an assistant principal or equivalent school leadership position - Have pedagogical higher education and good knowledge of school governance documents - Have experience with personnel management and systematic quality improvement work - Have previous experience with scheduling - Be experienced in leading change and development work - Have strong ability to organize, prioritize, and follow up - Communicate clearly and build trust - Have high expectations for both students, staff, and yourself Completed or ongoing principal certification is a merit.
