About the Position
In your role as assistant principal, you will be responsible for grades 6-9, but you need to be open-minded and flexible as the assignment may change over time based on the organization's needs.
You will be part of a leadership team consisting of the principal, administrator, and two other assistant principals, where close collaboration and shared responsibility are a given. At the same time, you are expected to take significant responsibility for your own assignment and your grade levels.
At Strandskolan we believe in great pedagogical freedom – our staff are professionals and should be given the conditions to take responsibility for their instruction. At the same time, school leadership needs to hold the organization together, create alignment, and ensure that everyone is working toward the same goals.

We are looking for someone who:
• Thrives in a development-driven and trust-based environment
• Has a coaching and present leadership style
• Is skilled at creating structure, building relationships, and leading with direction
• Has experience recruiting competent staff and contributing to a culture of freedom with responsibility
To be qualified for the position, you need:
Teacher certification
Principal education
At least three years of experience as an assistant principal or school leader, preferably in primary/secondary education
Experience with scheduling
Experience with personnel responsibility
Experience with development and quality work
Experience with student welfare work
