Östra Ringskolan in Gamleby is a relatively new middle school. The school opened in fall 2015 when Åbyskolan and Överumsskolan's middle school programs merged. The school has approximately 210 students, and most students come from the northern part of the municipality.

We are now seeking an Assistant Principal for Östra Ringskolan in Gamleby.
Your responsibilities
In close collaboration with the Principal, you as Assistant Principal will be responsible for high goal achievement within the school based on the organization's needs and overarching objectives. You will report directly to the Principal regarding management of personnel, development matters, and daily student welfare work.
You will have the opportunity for teamwork, own responsibility, own initiative, and to support the Principal in daily operations. You want to and dare to be a leader, focusing on students' needs and goals, and have the ability to identify opportunities for improvements in student development.
Your qualifications
You have a pedagogical university degree as a middle school teacher and several years of professional experience as an educator, preferably within middle school. It is a merit if you have completed state principal training and worked in a management position. If you have previous experience with collaborative tasks within the school and/or experience in handling personnel matters, systematic workplace safety work, and driving group and development processes, we also consider this a merit.
You are well-informed about the Education Act and the school's other governing documents. As a person, you are confident in yourself and your leadership. You are a stable, engaged, and clear person who can inspire and enthuse your colleagues and students in working toward the school's goals. This requires that you are communicative as a person and responsive to your surroundings, and that you create participation and collaboration by being visible and helpful in daily operations.
You have the ability to see the whole picture of the organization and consider the broader perspective when making decisions and in relation to your own work. The position requires that you have good language proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
