JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an assistant principal you will • have shared responsibility with the area principal for finances, personnel, work environment, and quality and school development. • together with the principal be responsible for ensuring that operations meet municipal and national goals and guidelines • develop the school's pedagogy so that students are given the best conditions to develop. • naturally be a good ambassador for Pajala Municipality and the Children and Education sector. Pajala Municipality gives you good conditions to succeed in the assignment. • You are part of the school principal's management group with other assistant principals, principals, and quality developers where you together drive and develop schools and preschools in Pajala Municipality. • You have access to good operational support in the form of, among other things, an administrator and student health team. • the municipality also has a central staff function that supports managers in work with finance and HR matters. The position is currently located in central Pajala. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • have a university degree and experience in pedagogical work. • are a clear and confident pedagogical leader with a focus on students' knowledge development. • have integrity and good collaboration skills. • create trusting relationships and build confidence and trust. • have clear leadership and the ability to inspire and provide conditions for participation. • can lead and distribute, prioritize and delegate work tasks. • communicate clearly and explain the reasons for decisions and support your arguments with facts. • have a good ability to enthusiastically anchor and lead ongoing development work together with colleagues. • have leadership experience and experience in school development work and are well familiar with the school's governing documents and other relevant legislation. • have good computer skills and can communicate well in both speech and writing. If you have completed or are participating in the state principal training/program, this is a merit, as are other leadership training courses. We look forward to your application!
