ASSISTANT VENUE MANAGER AT NORRQVARN – Focus on Kitchen, Restaurant and Bar Do you want to be part of developing a unique destination with hotel, restaurant, bar, conferences and events? We are looking for a driven and operational assistant venue manager for Norrqvarn. You will work closely with the venue manager and take special responsibility for the restaurant, bar and kitchen operations, with kitchen operations as an important focus area. ABOUT THE ROLE As an assistant venue manager, you are an active part of daily operations. You lead by being present in the business and can work operationally in the kitchen, restaurant and bar when needed. You report to the venue manager and serve as their representative when they are not on site. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and allocate daily work in kitchen, restaurant and bar. Ensure efficient workflow between kitchen and service. Be operational in the business and support the team where needed most. Plan staffing and shifts together with the venue manager. High quality in food, beverages, service and guest experience. Participate in menu planning, pricing and development of food and beverage concepts. Plan and coordinate restaurant operations for conferences, weddings and large events. Responsible for ordering, goods receipt, inventory and stock management. Monitor raw material costs, waste, labor costs and profitability. Ensure that routines for hygiene, self-inspection, cleaning and alcohol service are followed. Onboard, train and motivate staff in kitchen, restaurant and bar. Handle guest inquiries and resolve problems quickly and professionally. Participate in opening, closing and security procedures. Contribute ideas that develop Norrqvarn's restaurant, event and year-round operations. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO Has documented experience from restaurants, kitchen and bar. Has good understanding of kitchen operations and can work operationally in the kitchen when needed. Has previous experience in management or is ready to take the next step as a leader. Understands restaurant economics, purchasing, inventory management, waste and profitability. Can plan, prioritize and stay calm during high-pressure periods. Are clear, solution-oriented and good at collaboration. Have a strong interest in food, beverages, service and guest experiences. Can work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and during large events. Speak Swedish and can communicate in English. Cooking education, knowledge of self-inspection and food hygiene as well as experience from hotels, conferences, events or larger restaurant operations are advantageous.
