Since 1993, Östergötland Stadsmissionen's residential treatment home for women in central Linköping has been a safe place for women from across the country struggling with substance abuse issues, trauma, and experiences of violence. Through genuine compassion and evidence-based treatment, we help women process their experiences, break destructive patterns, and create conditions for an independent life. Treatment is delivered by a team consisting of social pedagogues, treatment specialists, a talk therapist, and a director and assistant director. We are now seeking an assistant director for a temporary position starting in November 2026, or by agreement. The temporary position is available because the regular assistant director is taking parental leave. About the job As an assistant director, you will work closely with the director and other team members. You have an important function in operationally supporting colleagues in their duties, coordinating daily work, and ensuring the organization operates with high quality. You also assist the director during their absence. The role is broad and varied. You combine client-facing work with administrative, coordinating, and operational development tasks. Together with the organization's treatment specialists, social pedagogues, and talk therapist, you contribute to creating a safe, structured, and developmental treatment environment for the women in our care. Your responsibilities include: Coordinating, supporting, and following up on daily operations Conducting suitability assessments prior to admissions and handling discharges Participating in planning, implementation, and follow-up of clients' treatment processes Conducting individual sessions and psychoeducational groups Ensuring quality in documentation, procedures, and work methods Working with staffing, scheduling, and operational planning Participating in financial follow-up and administration Responsible for marketing and collaboration with commissioners and other important partners Participating in monitoring and developing quality, work environment, and operations The goal of our work is to provide every woman with the best possible conditions to live an independent life, free from violence and substance abuse. We are looking for someone with An academic degree as a social worker, behavioral scientist, social and cultural analyst, or other education the employer deems equivalent Experience with social work involving people in vulnerable situations Good knowledge of substance abuse issues, mental health problems, trauma, and intimate partner violence Experience in treatment work, motivational work, or change work Experience with documentation, implementation plans, and collaboration with authorities Good administrative skills and experience working systematically B-class driver's license (manual transmission) It is advantageous if you have Experience in residential treatment facilities and relevant regulations Experience in team leadership, coordination, or other assignments where you supported colleagues in daily operations Knowledge of or experience in gender issues, violence theory, crisis and trauma treatment Experience working with comorbidity, substance abuse treatment, and violence victims Advanced training in, for example, CRA, ASI, MI, ÅP, TMO We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The position is a full-time temporary assignment (100%) starting in November 2026 and lasting for the duration of the regular employee's parental leave. Working hours are weekdays during daytime. Compensation is provided in accordance with the collective agreement. Before employment, excerpts from the criminal records register and reference certificates from the Swedish Tax Agency will be requested.
