Job Responsibilities As assistant unit manager, you will work closely with the unit manager and another assistant unit manager. Together, you will lead daily operations and plan activities and future development. In addition, you will collaborate with the operations manager and other managers at the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic. The majority of the position consists of management duties, but also includes some clinical work. Your role involves developing the operations, working toward established goals through systematic improvement efforts, conducting quality and patient safety work, and contributing to a good work environment. You will be the immediate supervisor for approximately 10-15 employees within hearing rehabilitation. You are responsible for employee, salary, and rehabilitation meetings as well as recruitment within your work group. You will be involved in developing the team and their mission. As a manager, you represent Region Västmanland and your operations both internally and externally. This means you work in accordance with and convey the perspectives and positions held by the employer. About the Workplace The Hearing Unit is part of the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic. We have operations in Västerås, Köping, Sala, and Fagersta, located approximately one hour from Uppsala, Stockholm, and Örebro. The Hearing Unit is a consolidated resource for the county's children, adolescents, and adults with hearing loss and deafness. The operations work from a holistic perspective, covering everything from diagnostics, rehabilitation, habilitation, and technical hearing care. The Hearing Unit is located in new and beautiful facilities at Signalistgatan 6 in Västerås, and we have approximately 40 people from various professions. We would like you to be a licensed audiologist, but if you have background from another profession in the field, that is also valuable. If you have management training and previous experience with personnel management and operations development, that is an asset, but not a requirement. The region offers excellent opportunities for training and management development for those who wish to grow in the role. If you have experience leading improvement work and knowledge of labor law and work environment issues, that is advantageous. Since the work involves working in the systems Cosmic and Auditbase, we see that you have basic computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish. A category B driver's license is required as travel is part of the position. We are looking for someone with an interest in leadership, who is engaged in operations development and enjoys collaborating with others to create operations with high quality and good customer service. As a person, you are communicative, organized, and have the ability to create trusting relationships with both employees and patients. Employment Terms Permanent employment: Full-time, in base profession with time-limited management assignment for four years Working hours: Daytime Location: Västerås Start date by agreement.
