We're looking for you to be responsible for our Bistro in the evenings and on weekends, while actively working with sales at our deli counters. This is a role where you combine personal service in the dining area with hands-on work in the shop – a perfect position for someone who enjoys both customer interaction and a fast pace.
About the role
You work 1–2 evenings per week and every other weekend
You are the Bistro Host – greeting guests, serving food & beverages, setting tables, creating atmosphere
You also work at our deli counters selling fresh fish, cheese, charcuterie, and ready-made meals
You collaborate closely with the kitchen and shop staff
During certain evenings, you manage small events or wine tastings
We're looking for someone who:
Has at least 2–3 years of experience from a restaurant, café, or shop
Is social, self-motivated, and solution-focused
Has an eye for detail, table setting, and ambiance
Enjoys switching between serving and shop work – and can greet guests warmly whether it's in the dining area or at the fish counter
Extra points if you:
Have experience with deli counter sales (fish, cheese, charcuterie, ready-made meals)
Have basic knowledge of wine/beer (or are eager to learn)
IMPORTANT – According to alcohol laws, you must:
Be at least 20 years old
Be approved as a licensed server by the municipality
IMPORTANT: According to alcohol law (Alkohollag (2010:1622) 8 kap. 18 §), a person responsible for serving alcohol must be at least 20 years old. This is a legal requirement we must follow in order to offer this position as a licensed server.
How we work
The Bistro is open during shop hours. You are often the one welcoming guests, serving, maintaining order, and simultaneously attending to customers who want to shop at the deli.
