Within the administration, there is IFO, LSS activities, social psychiatry, health and medical care, home services, and special housing. As a care benefits case worker, you will work with administrative authority decisions for elderly clients. From a holistic perspective, you meet each individual with the goal of strengthening their own abilities and continued independence. Your main tasks include investigating and assessing needs, following up on the services you approve, and ensuring that the services meet the individual's needs regarding, among other things, home care, day activities, short-term stays, and special housing. You handle cases within applicable legislation (Social Services Act), current legal precedent, and established guidelines. The unit consists of about 15 employees and one unit manager. In addition to case workers, the unit also includes LSS and social psychiatry case workers, fee handlers, and an operations controller. We value collaborative learning and hold weekly case worker meetings where we support each other, share experiences, and develop our competence together. The unit manager participates and is also available, along with colleagues, to support you in daily work. You collaborate closely both internally and externally with care personnel, family members, and other stakeholders. We work with the IBIC model and have high ambitions for quality and legal certainty. You will become an important part of our joint quality and development work to strengthen and improve both the unit and support to the municipality's residents. Together we also take on the exciting work with the new Social Services Act with a focus on prevention, accessibility, and quality. We hope you want to develop further with us! Qualifications We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in administrative authority work in elderly care and who wants to contribute to legally sound case handling with the individual in focus. You are confident in your professional role, work in a structured manner, and have a professional approach. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and other stakeholders while taking personal responsibility and driving your work forward. We're looking for someone who has: A degree in social work or other higher education that the employer deems equivalent. A B-category driver's license. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, with the ability to express yourself clearly in documentation and communication. Good computer skills. Knowledge of or experience working according to IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus). Since the work involves home visits to residents, you need to be able to spend time in environments where pets and cigarette smoke may be present. It is advantageous if you have: Experience with case handling and administrative authority work within social services. Experience investigating and assessing needs according to the Social Services Act. Experience with the Pulsen system.
