DUTIES
We are looking for a committed and competent benefits counselor to investigate and handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) concerning the Social Psychiatry target group.
In your role, you work both independently and in close cooperation with several experienced benefits counselors, which provides good opportunities for supervision, collegial support and joint problem-solving.
As a benefits counselor, you investigate and handle applications according to SoL. You make decisions and follow up on services according to IBIC (Individual Needs at Center). You primarily investigate services regarding residential support, special housing, etc. You will collaborate with other professionals within the municipality as well as with other authorities and organizations.
As a benefits counselor, you need to be structured, thorough and able to independently plan your work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree from a social work program, social care program or other post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent, including law with administrative authority. Experience in similar work is meritorious. You have fluent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is meritorious to have knowledge of Finnish and Sami.
You have a holistic view in your work and the ability to get different parts to work together are important qualities, as well as commitment and development orientation. Understanding and respect for working in a politically governed organization is necessary for this assignment. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Class B driver's license is a requirement.
