About the Position The position is located in the Department for Individual Support and Preventive Measures, within the Middle of Life unit, which consists of 11 benefits advisors and a unit manager. In this unit, we meet people between 18 and 67 years old with persistent mental health conditions (social psychiatry) and/or somatic illness who need support and care services under the Social Services Act. Job Responsibilities Your main tasks will be to investigate, decide on, and follow up on granted services. The work is based on a holistic perspective of the individual and their needs at the center, which is conducted in collaboration with relatives, healthcare, other authorities, and partners. The duties also include participating in development work to move the operations forward, such as developing clear processes and procedures and driving development in digitalization, methods, and work quality. Mentoring and introduction of new employees are also part of the responsibilities. Qualifications To succeed in this rewarding and challenging work, it is required that you have a degree in social work or other related higher education qualification that the employer deems equivalent. We are pleased if you have experience working in social services and public administration, preferably within social psychiatry, care, and disability services. As a person, you have maturity and integrity, and you stand behind your assessments. You are quality-conscious and service-oriented, work carefully, and take responsibility for tasks being completed correctly. Since the world is constantly changing, you also need to be flexible, take initiative, and see challenges as something interesting to solve. You have extensive computer skills and speak Swedish well both verbally and in writing. Since the municipality is large in area, you need to have a driver's license. There is a clear mandate within the department to develop handling processes, working methods, collaboration, and innovation, as well as to implement digital solutions as part of this. About the Workplace The Department for Individual Support and Preventive Measures consists of approximately 75 employees, a department manager, an assistant department manager, and five unit managers. The department primarily works with authority administration supported by the Social Services Act and LSS, and is also responsible for processing applications for transportation and national transportation services as well as carrying out contact person and support family services. In the department, LSS advisors, benefits advisors, housing coordinators, contact secretaries, fee handlers, and family support coordinators work together.
