The Social Services Office currently consists of three units: disabilities, elderly, and intake. What unites all units is that we collaborate with each other. The disabilities investigation unit processes applications within the disabilities field based on LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities) and SoL (Social Services Act). The elderly investigation unit processes applications for adults and seniors. The intake unit receives all new applications and then distributes cases to the investigation units.
A development initiative is underway to create a new role. The new role aims to complement the existing support work with a more pronounced psychosocial perspective.

WORK TASKS
As a Social Services Case Officer, you work with receiving applications. You investigate needs, conduct assessments, and make decisions in cases according to the SoL and LSS laws. You document in the system Viva. We meet the municipality's residents at our office but also at meeting places, at home, or at the hospital. The work involves both internal and external collaboration. Together, we are responsible for the entire operation functioning and help where needed.
The new role involves working closely with users and other professionals to early identify needs, coordinate services, and provide guidance, without making official decisions. The approach is more person-centered and based on close collaboration, with the aim of increasing accessibility, strengthening the individual's own abilities, and reducing the need for more extensive services in the future.
As a new employee, you will receive an introduction and a mentor for support. We work continuously with quality improvement and have a competence annual cycle with internal training.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a social worker or behavioral scientist with social law expertise. Experience with public administration, elderly care, and LSS is a plus. Since we conduct home visits, you need to have a B driver's license. It is beneficial if you have experience documenting in Viva and using IBIC as an assessment tool.
We are looking for you who easily understand and put yourself in other people's life situations. You are able to make difficult decisions and enjoy driving your cases independently. You thrive with varying work pace, and no two days are the same. Of course, you are a team player who has the ability to collaborate with multiple actors to achieve a successful result.
