The Benefits Unit in Dals-Ed is a smaller operation within the municipality's Authority Unit, which also includes Individual and Family Services (IFO). Immediately around you are 2 other benefits assessors with whom you have close collaboration. Beyond that, there are colleagues within IFO for cooperation when needed. The Authority Unit is led by a Manager and Senior Social Secretary. There is close collaboration with operational units such as home care, short-term care, and municipal primary healthcare. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for you to work with investigating needs, making decisions, and following up on interventions granted according to the Social Services Act (SoL), focused on care and elderly services. You collaborate closely both internally and externally with care personnel, relatives, and other stakeholders. The work is varied and meaningful, and you make a real difference in people's daily lives. You are also part of our collective quality and development work to strengthen and enhance both operations and support for our service users. The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement. As a benefits assessor, you are responsible for investigating, assessing needs, and making decisions about the right to interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL). The target group is people under and over 65 years old who need interventions within care and elderly services. The work tasks include both personal meetings with the individual as well as with relatives, other authorities, and care providers. You are also responsible for following up on granted interventions. Documentation is important in our work and occurs in the Lifecare system where we base ourselves on IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus). You shall also provide early support and guidance, and advice to service users and relatives. QUALIFICATIONS: We are looking for you with a degree in social work or another academic degree that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with case management and documentation according to the Social Services Act, you should be well familiar with the laws governing the operations and have the courage to apply them. You must be able to work independently and in a structured manner. Being flexible is important as prioritization of work is essential. You have respectful interaction and communication both verbally and in writing. Experience working with Lifecare and IBIC as well as SAMSA is meritorious. A Class B driver's license is required.
