Laboratory Medicine Värmland is seeking a biomedical analyst for Clinical Chemistry in Karlstad. Your Workplace Laboratory Medicine Värmland operates throughout the region and consists of four medical specialties: Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology, Clinical Pathology, and Transfusion Medicine. We currently have 315 employees in our accredited operation and are tasked with providing sample collection, preparation and analysis of samples, and producing quality-assured analysis results, diagnoses, and diagnostic support with high service quality. We are now seeking two biomedical analysts for our Clinical Chemistry team in Karlstad. The Clinical Chemistry unit at Central Hospital Karlstad has approximately 70 employees working in a 24/7 operation. Working within Laboratory Medicine Värmland means you will have varied and stimulating work tasks. There are also opportunities for development across disciplinary boundaries, which always occur based on need and in dialogue with the employee, along with thorough training. Your Tasks We are a service organization that performs analytical work primarily in the areas of general chemistry, hematology, and coagulation, as well as in specialized areas such as immunochemistry, protein chemistry, toxicology, and pharmacology. We also perform sample collection, functional examinations, and are responsible for the anticoagulation clinic. The positions also involve work in the evenings, on weekends, and at night. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for someone who is a licensed biomedical analyst or has equivalent relevant education. The work requires that you are thorough, well-organized, and have good communication skills. You thrive in a changing environment and enjoy working at a fast pace.
